Trying to exit Tropicana Field, and the mass of Humanity that couldn't get out the door, I'm just glad no one screamed fire or anything. I heard many interesting conversations while standing there for 10 minutes and not moving, the most frequent topic; people who stated they were from various parts of New England and that when you move somewhere you should root for your local team. The fact is the New York Yankees are a local team, their spring training home is in Tampa (semantics). Just because your team hasn't won 26 World Series Championships doesn't mean that when I move to the Tampa Bay area I should give up rooting for the Yankees.

It just continues to prove to me the New York Yankees are like a religion, we have Gods, saints, a place where we worship, and lots and lots of faith.
